Just last Friday the first precious newborn was left in safety at a Fire Station in Florida by a mother who wanted her baby to have a future she could not provide. The baby is a healthy girl who we named Lara and will soon be placed for Adoption in a loving family. The A Safe Haven for Newborns praise Lara’s biological mother for her show of love and compassion for this child by making this difficult and heart wrenching decision. Lara is the 219th baby since A Safe Haven for Newborns mission of saving precious newborns from the dangers of abandonment was initiated by Founder Nick Silverio, a true friend to Florida’s fire rescue services.
